Yes I know guys I'm probably the last girl in the world to have tried dry shampoo. Well I finally bit the bullet and bought some to try. Why I'd never tried it before? I just was a bit dubious and thought it was too hyped up.
What I think about it now? I love it :). It's so easy to use and really does give your hair a boost. The tresemme one that I purchased had a really nice fresh lemony smell to it that I really likes.
It did leave a bit of white in my hair because I have brown hair, however as long as you make sure you rub it  well into the roots no one will know.
If you don't want to have that white residue in your hair there are always dry shampoos for brown and dark hair.
I have definitely been converted to using dry shampoo, (not all the time of course, that would be disgusting), but if I don't have time to wash my hair I just spray it on and I'm ready to go.

Have any of you used dry shampoo? What do you think of it?
Let me know in the comments.

Tape Tape Tape

So this is probably going to be a really obvious thing to do when putting liquids into your suitcase, however I realised I should have done it after a spillage.
If you haven't already guessed what this post is going to be about then keep on reading.
Always sellotape your bottles, jars, containers etc before putting them in your suitcase, otherwise it is likely that when you go to take them out they will have spilled over all your other items. And yes do it even if the bottle or whatever is unopened because it can happen with sealed things and trust me I know because that's what happened to me.
If you want to be extra careful after you have wrapped half your belongings in sellotape put them in a plastic bag, so if they do spill they won't go over clothes, shoes etc and ruin them.

Have any of you ever had a spillage disaster? Or do you have other ways of making sure your clothes and shoes are safe? Leave me a comment explaining what you do.

Zebra Print and Stormy Skies

Animal print is everywhere this season and if like me you're not bold enough to wear an animal print piece of clothing why not try these nail wraps. They are simple to use and look pretty good once applied.
I was a bit doubtful whether they were going to look tacky but I soon found that I liked how they looked on my nails.
You can wear the nail wraps on all of your nails or like me just on the accent nail with any other nail polish on the other nails. I used Stormy skies by MUA.

You can easily purchase these nail wraps in boots and if animal print just isn't your thing there are so many other designs that you can choose from.
These nail wraps range from a price of £5.99 to £7.95
and
the MUA nail varnishes range from £1.00 to £2.99

Tell me have any of you used these nail wraps? What did you think of them? Leave me a comment below.

How to make your own Eyeshadow Primer

So you're getting ready to go out and realise that you have run out of your favourite eyeshadow primer and don't have time to pop to the shops to get a new one!!
Don't panic there is a quick and easy way to resolve this problem, and that is by making your own. It is so simple and only takes 2 minutes.

What you need:

A small container with a lid where you can conserve the product

Any kind of foundation ( If you have a cheap one or one you don't use that often I advise you too use that one so you are not wasting your expensive foundation.)

Any type of moisturiser (Preferably quite a thick one)

What to do:
Now all you need to do is scoop some of your moisturiser into the small container, add the foundation, mix it all together and you are ready to go.

Have any of you tried this method? Has it work for you? What other tricks do you have to save money?

Hand Care: How to keep them clean, soft and healthy all the time

We all try and keep our hands by washing them as much as possible. However, we're not near a sink all the time. I've got a few helpful tips on keeping your hands clean when we are out and about.

So the 1st thing you have to do is pop down to boots and buy a hand sanitizer like the one in the picture above.I own the Carex Sensitive hand gel, but there are so many around and they are all very inexpensive. I picked this one up for £1.00. If you prefer a scented one there is also the Soap and Glory Hand Maid gel which is a bit more expensive at £2.50.

The 2nd thing you do after buying it is just pop it in your handbag. It's small and light so perfect for putting in any bag.

I have found these hand gels so useful. For example if I've been eating crisps or something all I have to do is get the Hand gel out of my bag and use it. It sinks into the skin immediately and you don't have to worry about drying your hands.

The thing that with the hand gel or even when I wash my hands normally, I find that my hands get very dry so  I have started using hand cream every time I wash my hands or use the hand gel. I also apply it whenever I feel my hands need some moisture.
I use the Johnson's Body Care 24hour Moisture Hand Cream which I picked up from boots for £2.09. I think it is working well, my hands feel soft and I'm pretty sure they look better as well.

Another great thing about these 2 products, especially the hand gel is that they are both under 100ml, so if you travel a lot by plane you can take one of them (I advise you to take the hand gel) in your hand luggage.

What sort things do you use to keep your hands soft and clean?

Top Tips on Tuesdays: Let your skin breathe

Over the years I have learnt that keeping make up, specifically foundation on longer than needed is not necessary and not great for your skin either. This is because your skin needs to be left au naturel sometimes. Our skin needs to breathe, and needs to be able to repair itself and if it has a layer of foundation on it it can't do this. This is also why you should take your make up off before bed, for more on this take a look at this post here

So what do you have to do to let your skin have a break from make up. Well the first thing is to take our makeup off as soon as you can, for example when you get back from work/school. I wish I had done this in my teenage years, but I was so embarrassed of how my face looked that I couldn't stand even my parents seeing my face, I now know that if I had taken it off when I was at home my skin would have been able to repair itself. So please do not make the same mistake as me.

Another thing is, if you are at home and know that you're not going to go out that day then give your face  a day off from make up. For example today I'm not going out so I haven't put any makeup on and am not planning to.All I've done to my face today is wash, moisturize and applied some acne cream onto the areas that need it.

If you feel confident enough to go out without foundation on or if you really do not need it then do so. I would love to not have to wear foundation, but unfortunately my skin isn't in the best condition and I would never be able to go around without make up on, but if you are someone who isn't bothered then good on you, and it's much better for your skin if you do this.

Not wearing foundation all the time is a good thing, and trust me our skin will totally thank you for not suffocating it all the time.

So there you go a few reasons why we shouldn't wear foundation every second of the day.

So tell me are you one of those people who lets there skin breathe, or do you have to wear foundation all the  time and why? Comment below.
